Hot Cereal with Quinoa & Cornmeal

A delightfully easy-to-make cereal which contains no gluten, no added sugar and is hearty and delicious.

 

Ingredients:

 

3 cups Water

2/3 cup Quinoa Organic Grain

1/3 cup Cornmeal, Medium Grind

6 Dates, chopped

1 Tb. Olive Oil

1/2 tsp. Sea Salt

 

Add water, salt, oil, dates and quinoa to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let simmer for five minutes, then reduce heat and slowly add the cornmeal. Stir constantly until the cormilda is the consistency of a paste. Serve hot. Is delicious with soy or rice milk.

 

*Millet can replace Quinoa for a nice change.

 

Makes 4 servings.
